GFSC Bilateral Co-operation Agreements

On 12 July 2013, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission announced that it had signed bilateral co-operation agreements with 27 member states of the European Economic Area. The agreements will be applicable from 22 July 2013 and will enable Guernsey fund managers to continue marketing investment funds to professional investors in those countries that signed the agreements.

Key elements of the agreements include facilitating the supervision by EU and Guernsey supervisors of fund managers that operate on a cross border basis in the Bailiwick of Guernsey and EU, cross-border onsite visits and assisting the enforcement of regulatory laws.  A full list of the participating EEA member states can be found on the GFSC's website at:
